Intrusive views or new construction may be screened with compatible fencing or plant material so
long as the screening would not detract from the historic character of the landscape.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff Recommends approval of Part A as the project will be
underground and the surface of the Park will be restored.
Part B: Staff recommends approval of Part B. The installation of the Pedestal as it is near other utility
installations located on the south perimeter of the Park along Park Lane. This installation will be screened
from the Park by 5 gal. evergreen Yew shrubs, Taxus X Media, which do well in shaded areas, are
drought resistant and low maintenance. The conduits and wire service will be also installed underground
and the ground area restored.
Prepared by Catherine D. Hostetler, Director
