10 October Completed 40 of the Demolition 106 Reviews. Learned of Previous HPC Director <br />Karen Hammond-Nash's death in a car accident from past Commissioner, Linda Riley. <br />13 October Completed 25 of the Demolition 106 Reviews. Met with Jeremy Roschyk of CHA <br />at the Viewing Park about the impact of proposed sewer work on the WPA stonework. 2015 will <br />see a new sewer between Howard Park and the Viewing Park. I reviewed with him the work that <br />was done in Slietterly Park and also the WPA wall in River Park. Contacted Thia Vawter in <br />Engineering with Jeremy's information. <br />14 October Met with Brooke and Derek from Horneworks at 609 Riverside Drive in River <br />Bend. Some of the insul-brick was removed from a section of the front porch and discussed siding <br />options with them. The rear porch was enclosed -badly. <br />15 October Completed 13 Lead Abatement 106 Reviews. Continued contacting former Staff <br />and Commissioners with Karen's information. <br />16 October Morning presentation at Transpo for Sue Solmos' Sell South Bend class of <br />Realtors. Contacted Altisource about 202 Bartlett condition. Steve said that Mag Mile may have <br />an interest in the property for grad students. Botanical Society meeting until 6:00: presented <br />Treasurer's Report and Indiana Business Entity 2014 Report submitted. <br />17 October Received Contact information for Altisource Sales Team and passed information <br />on 202 Bartlett to Mag Mile. SB 150 meeting with Aaron Perri for updates and role of HPC in <br />positioning its events. Showed Aaron a portfolio of Lou Sabo's photographs of buildings; Aaron <br />will contact Lou about exhibits. Info to Karen Hickey about 1417 E. Wayne roofing issues. <br />Photographed 1102 Thomas for file as possible landmark candidate. It is rated as Contributing in <br />2005 Survey as an 1890 Italianate. It has interesting brick header details on the windows that <br />appear to have been originally arched openings that could indicate Italianate, but the roof line is <br />gabled. The 1932 Assessor Card is missing or misfiled. <br />20 Octrober Attended Memorial Service for past Director, Karen Hammond Nash at Sunnyside <br />Presbyterian. <br />
