November 2014 <br />Director's Report <br />20 October Meeting Prep. Finance Committee meeting at Northern Indiana Center for <br />History. Meeting at Bond Hall Notre Dame with Jennifer Parker, School of Architecture <br />Librarian, Jessica Brookshire, Assoc. Director for Public Affairs and Adam Heet concerning the <br />South Bend Urban Architecture Website. Examined expanded 3D Printer recreation that is <br />developing the past architecture of historical buildings. Looking for sponsors and central display <br />site. HPC meeting. <br />21 October Prepared and mailed all approved COAs. Emailed Michiana Insurance a copy of <br />1340 E. Wayne Street COA for railing on second floor deck and copy to Mark Lyons stating the <br />need for an Inspection once it is installed. A letter from HPC to Michiana Insurance is to follow. <br />Composed and mailed a letter to Jason Pflederer with a draft copy of the minute of die denial of <br />his COA. Completed four demolition 106 Reviews. <br />22 October General Office work. Contacted Community Foundation concerning matching <br />grant possibilities for die South Bend Urban Architecture Website. Reviewed and accepted to be a <br />consulting party on die Granger Paths planned development Des/ 132797 Adams Trail 1/B and <br />1/C. The Troyer Group appeared before the HPC prior to completing and finalizing the 106. I <br />gave CJ Cunningham to contact information for the County Commissioners and die Cemetery <br />focus in die DNR. Attended the Morris Reception at the Morris Theatre Lobby between 5-7:00. <br />23 October General Office work. Completed 7 106 Reviews for Demolition. Contacted Steve <br />Mihaljevic , Code and DCI after Steve Szaday alerted the Office that 514 Eddy was scheduled for <br />Demolition after MagMile purchased the -tax certificate and to clarify the address issue with 315 <br />Madison. <br />24 October Field trip to New Carlisile. Researched 446-448 Philippa to verify that the house <br />was built as a duplex in 1902; appears to have been 1917 Sanborn Maps seem to indicated that it <br />was. Recommended going to the 1901-1903 Polk City Driectories. <br />27 October Completed 11 106 Reviews for Demolition that are included in the Survey. Met <br />with Staff to verify end of year Budget numbers and transfers. Prepared Fixed Asset Disposal <br />forms for obsolete office equipment submitted along with letter to County Commissioners. <br />28 October Office supply Inventory with Staff to prepare In -Line Transfers to purchase <br />supplies. Preliminary work on year end. E-mail to Adams Remco to put surplus copier on their <br />
