Director's Report June 2014 20 May Prepared and mailed all approved COAs. Met with Adam Riggs from Adams Remco about replacing all printers, copier and fax machines with one new multi- tasking Copier for $5,000.00. Created a listing of inventory and purchase dates -some are 13 years old. 21 May E-mailed listing to Adams Riggs and prepared to meet with Adam Heet from Notre Dame's school of Architecture about joint project. Visited the Studebaker Museum's Then and Now exhibit with Andy Beckman. Prepared for meeting at Kizer House on South Bend's 150' Anniversary of incorporation as a City. 22 May Meeting at Kizer House with SB 150 Content Committee organized by Laura Moran Walton of the Community Foundation. Looking for Committee to vet information to make sure it is accurate and to provide information from our areas of expertise. There is currently about 80 other people involved in this project. Informal meeting with Stan Molenda on the Ambassadors for Christ Church roof and the Dean Building's crumbling south fascade. RMEs for 127 Franklin, 305 W. Navarre and 1212 LWE; plus turned in 601 N. Lafayette for trash. Researched vacant park area in Edgewater for Matt Moyers -no it's not called Voorde Park or any other "park". Continued research on Leeper Park National Register Nomination to determine if Navarre's Cabin is owned by NICH. It's a contributing structure. 23 May General Office work and research on subjects for the Content Committee. Sent contact information to Code for Ambassadors for Christ (7859 S. Ashland, Chicago 60620-4253) whose South Bend landmarked church's roof is in bad shape. 26 May Office Closed. MEMORIAL DAY 27 May Follow up with Building Department on COAs/Permits issued. Groupwise email system down. General Office work. Prep work for 2015 Budget. 28 May. Research on Singer Sewing Machine Factory for Starlight Care Facilities( Roger Ringenberg) with Elicia. Turned in 621 Lafayette per Joan Downs Krecenko phone call for window installation without a permit. Submitted payroll. Attended 2013 Tourism Awards Reception at DoubleTree given by Visit South Bend Mishawaka. 29 May Follow up with Building Department on 621 N. Lafayette with other issues discovered by Steve Szaday—Siding on house reported last fall still not replaced and front porch area not repaired in a professional manner. Met with Stan Molenda about demolition of 1631 LWW and 213 E. South Street for COA applications. May end up on ,June Agenda. Sent information on National Register and Ordinance to John Freidline for the JMS Building development project. Researched 1250 Hillcrest for Marybeth Saunders. Two RMEs for Roofing one in LWE and the other in Chapin Park.
