B. 541 IRONWOOD — On a motion by Brandon Anderson with a second by Lynn Patrick to
deny request for Local Landmark designation pending further documentation by the owner. Vote:
6 —1. Tim Klusczinski — Reason: An unsupported request for landmark status should not be
entertained by the board. A vote to deny sends a bad message to the petitioner, appears final and
could diminish the public's preference for the status - especially whenever a misunderstanding (of
documentation) exists. HPC staff should provide specific criteria to anyone interested in pursuing
designation honors. Until that criteria is met and scrutinized by staff, it does not qualify for board
vote.
C. ELECTION OF OFFICERS — Tim Klusczinski calls for nominations from the floor; there
are none. On a motion by Lynn Patrick with a second by Brandon Anderson to accept the 2015
slate of officers as Tim Klusczinski, President; Tom Gordon, Vice President/Assistant Secretary;
Mike Voll, Treasurer; Elizabeth Hertel, Secretary. Vote: 7 — 0 Unanimous. 2015 Slate of
officers accepted.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
Chair announces that senior Commission Member, Lynn Patrick will conclude her service on the
HPC board after her term expires at month's end. Commission Members expressed regret in this
news and that it was a privilege to serve along with Commissioner Patrick. Commissioner Patrick
responded with kind words to all those present.
On a motion by Lynn Patrick with a second by Elizabeth Hertel to adjourn.
Vote: 7 — 0 Unanimous.
Meeting adjourned at 9:23 p.m.
Attest:
Elizabeth Hertel, Secretary
/-ae r
Date
8
