The gable roof has simple moulded raping trim and asphalt shingles. 'file <br />windows are 6/1 double lntung windows with moulded cornice trim. There is a Central <br />entry with a pediment supported by decorative brackets with lentil details along; with <br />pilasters and a fanlight over the door. There is a one storey flat roof wing topped by a <br />wood balcony. <br />ALTERATIONS: Once installed jalousie windows have been replaced with Marvin 6/1 <br />double hung woad windows in the rear three seasons room. Non -original glass block <br />windows were removed and the siding was replaced to match body of house. Complete <br />re -roof with architectural shingles in 2010. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: Replacement of 1950s era aluminum storm windows with <br />wood storm windows. <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: The current aluminum storm windows <br />are not original to the house and are no longer functional because replacement parts are <br />no longer available. Painted white to hide the oxidized look, the existing storms do not <br />match they -style and materials of the original double, hung wood windows. The proposed <br />storm windows are Marvin wood "double hung" storm windows. They will match the <br />style and materials of the existing;, original windows. 26 new stone windows will be <br />installed including: 14 second storey, 9 first storey, 3 third storey. <br />EAST WAYNE STREET S'T'ANDARDS AND GUIDELINES: <br />11. EXISTING STRUCTURES <br />C. WINDOWS AND .DOORS <br />Window and door frantcs are of wood or steel (some casements) or in the case of brick structures, <br />stone sills and brick, lintels. Where metal or vinyl siding has been applied, window trim has been <br />covered. Storm windows are of wood or aluminum. <br />Required <br />Original windows and doors shall be retained inchtding sashes, lintels, sills, shutters, decorative <br />glass, pediments, hoods, and hardware. When deteriorated beyond repair, they shall be replaced <br />with units and trim resembling; the original. <br />Recommended <br />
