October 9, 2013 To: BPC Commission, 'Re: Preservation Specialist Recommendations 1105 E Wayne St. After visiting the house again and being able to get inside the house as well, My recommendations and analysis are as follows: Roofing - The current asbestos shingles are in good to fair condition and may be able to be covered with a GAF Slateline series roof shingle upon further review by roofing professional. A C, similar application was used at 1130 E Wayne St in 2011. 1 noticed that there were only a handful of tiles missing and those could be easily replaced with new shingles to level the roof, The only water damage I noticed was in the southeast corner and appears to be a result of failing gutters and soffitts. Windows - There appear to be several different types and ages of windows at this address. The original steel casement windows are still in place in the kitchen. The newer circa 1970s aluminum casement windows that are located in the bedrooms, the southern and eastern main levels are obvious later changes. Most of those new altuninurn casement windows are 11011 operable or have been replaced with solid plate glass. The casement sashes that are present are less than 18" wide.
