We would like to replace the outer screen /storm door on the front entry to our house. The attached photos show the "original' door -- i.e. the one that was on the front when we bought the house -- plus two areas of damage to that door. There is a repair to the frame and there is a large crack in the bottom panel. Not shown is that the door itself is somewhat warped, which caused the storm window insert to fall out and some of its glass to break. We talked to a contractor, Scot Hires, about repairing the door and storm, but his advice was to replace it, given that it has already been repaired at least once. We plan to purchase a replacement door with storm /screen inserts from this company: http : / /www.coppawoodworking.com /, model 3610. We will paint it to match the current trim. One of us will drop off a check for the fee.
