Stone markers indicating grave sites are scattered; some are leaning against others, some are <br />leaning against trees; many are missing entirely or broken and scattered throughout cemetery. <br />ALTERATIONS: Not applicable <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: Addition of'— signs 1 3'x5' facing Cleveland Road and I 4'x 2 Vz' facing <br />parking area. <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT; Install 2 signs per selection: Cripe Witter Cemetery, <br />Established 1836, Hours gam -4pm the 3'x5' sign will face Cleveland and the 4x 2 Y2.' will face the <br />parking lot. <br />STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES; <br />F. SiM <br />No neon or flashing signs will be permitted unless they are original to the structure. Billboards and super- <br />graphics will also be disallowed. Only one appropriate identifying sign will be permitted per business. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of both signs on the north and south <br />edges of this Cemetery so that it can be identified from Cleveland and the parking lot with the hours <br />clearly defined on both. <br />Catherine D.
