Assistant Director's Resort HPC Meetina 06.18.2012 <br />1. Local Landmarks - <br />a. Union Station -meeting with Shane and Nick regarding a gallery between the transitional <br />=Fpace between Union and #84. Discussion of developing a curriculum for students to prepare the <br />allery. <br />2. Local Historic Districts -tour four of the districts via bicycle. <br />a. Edgewater Place -Office meeting with Eric Ford, new owner of 709-11 LWE regarding COA <br />items. Site visit with Catherine to discuss proposed projects. <br />b. Chapin Park -802 Leland meeting with Ryan Anderson of Ryno regarding windows that have <br />been replaced with new vinyl. <br />3. Staff Reports -none <br />4. Routine Maintenance Exclusions -none <br />5. National Register of Historic Places -nothing to report <br />6. Prepare draft of May meeting minutes and forward to Commissioners. Revise as requested. Print <br />minutes from May meeting for June meeting. Print commissioner and liaison mailing labels. <br />7. Restore Michiana Series 2010-2011 Window Restoration Production -Preview video. Stage window <br />parts and photograph for use in production. Working on supplement series and manual to be <br />included as part of the package. Very productive meeting with Mary Courtney at GRM to go over <br />production. Phone call with Andrea to go over final details and discuss You Tube streaming that <br />rass Roots offered to set up for us at no charge. <br />Restore Michiana Series 2012 -Updating calendar on www.RestoreMichiona.com. <br />a. Exterior Wood Siding Repair & Paint -Follow up with Dana and deliver final attendee <br />payment. Forward photos to Dana for use in HNC newsletter. <br />9. Internships -Prepare Resolutions for last semesters interns. Meeting with prospective Interns and <br />placing each in relevant positions. Oversee and offer guidance for the following projects: <br />a. David: City Cemetery digitizing -Phone calls and emails with David to keep up to date on <br />project. Review "Volunteer Instructions" as prepared by David. <br />b. Phillip: Local Landmarks survey -Review survey form as developed by Phillip <br />c. Jordan: Resource Center organization -Working with Jordan to clear out boxes of back filing <br />and to acquaint him with holdings. <br />d. Michelle: Fundraiser project -meeting with Michelle to discuss project. <br />10. Historic Preservation Education Grant -South Bend Heritage Foundation was awarded a grant to <br />develop "Behind the Scenes: An Adaptive Reuse Tour of the Rushton Building". Working with Jessica <br />to prioritize. Scheduling meeting with SBHF. Meeting with Marco, Jessica, Nick (SBHF intern) and Todd <br />Zeiger to begin planning event. <br />11.
