12. Studebaker/Bendix Heritage Trail -Working on Site signage with Andy Beckman and Marcia Qualls. <br />Correspondence with Colleen of Visit SB/Mish regarding mobile website and QR code on signs. <br />3. City Cemetery records digitizing project -Meeting 06.27 with David intern and Mike and Steve <br />rom Parks to discuss volunteer roles and orientation. Followed up on specifics after meeting <br />cluding phone call to Stonemar, owner of Highland and Riverview cemeteries. Correspondence <br />with volunteers. Identifying Team SCAN and Team TYPE. Trying and trying and trying to arrange a <br />Team SCAN orientation meeting. Trained two volunteers for Team SCAN with David at O'Brien. <br />Meeting with Anna and Carol Martin at City Sexton cottage to explain the need for reproductions of <br />maps on walls. <br />14. Downtown South Bend, Inc. First Friday's -Meeting 06.27 at Aaron Perri's East Bank town home to <br />plan July and August FF. <br />15. Southhold Preservation Awards -Finally mailed the remaining certificates to the nominees that <br />didn't pick them up during the ceremony. <br />16. State Theatre Pitch Your Plan -Attending the four hour final presentation on 06.19 at the State <br />Theatre in which 8 contestants pitched their plan. Winner was Gavin Ferlic, David Sierdzki, and Paul <br />Phair on a Rotating Entertainment Venue. <br />17. Local Historic Districts tour -Meeting 06.22 with Kurt Garner on historic research and site selection. <br />Correspondence with Kristina Craig regarding guide booklet layout. Preparing invoices, updated <br />scope and budget to send to partners. Editing text. Collecting historic images from various <br />homeowners and HPC archives. Correspondence with Diana Hess, NRC and Sue Solmos regarding <br />n'hood clean-ups and presenting on n'hoods. <br />8. Attend "Meet the Fellows" event at Union Station. <br />19. Then & Now: A Downtown Architecture Walking Tour -Working with Marilyn Thompson of the <br />Center for History to convert cell phone tour to their new account. Correspondence with Julie of <br />DTSB regarding brochure reprint. Uploading sound files to CfHs new OnCell account. Working with <br />Wayne Doolittle to re-record the introduction file. Correspondence with Marilyn about A Walk Along <br />West Washington. Guide 13 participants 07.13 on a lunch hour tour. <br />20. Vacant and Abandoned Housing Task Force -Attend public meeting 06.27 for observation. <br />21. By request of Carol Nichols of the DAR, I offered my two cents as to whether or not Schuyler <br />Colfax's grave in the City Cemetery should have a military issued stone added to the site. <br />22. Attended South Bend Economic Forum on 06.21. <br />23. HPC Staff Meetings -06.22 inaugural meeting. <br />24. Researching George Freyermuth, Architect and home at former 718 Lincoln Way East. <br />25. Strand/Avon Theatre -06.28 Meeting with Catherine, Tim, library maintenance staff, Tamara of <br />DTSB, Brad Dennis of Ziolkowski and Fritz Herget of Arsee Engineers at site to do fact finding on <br />feasibility of terra cotta preservation. Researching building and working on Staff Report. <br />�. Meeting with Kristina Craig at her 1940s house at 1438 Chester to observe her window system. <br />2 <br />
