The survey
card indicates a 6/6 double hung pattern, while what is currently on the house is a mix of 6/6 on the second floor and
8/8 on the first floor in addition to other muntin patterns. Staff was unable to do an interior inspection of the windows;
however what staff could observe from the exterior was that cosmetically the front first floor windows appeared to be
OK. However, Bob Grant of Bob Grant Construction, Inc. performed an interior inspection and concluded that the
windows require extensive repairs and that five of the fourteen are of an inferior quality. Staff recommends approval of
the replacement windows.
On a motion by Todd Zeiger to amend application by applicant to reflect full frame
removal, cutting and reconfiguring aluminum siding, installation of a full width wood
trim, similar to the original, inserting a full frame replacement system, and the permanent
removal of storm windows with a second by Dave Steinhauer.
