Description of Project at 1414 E. Wayne Street <br />Owner: Drew Chuppe <br />Property: Aluminum sided wood frame home purchased in "as is" <br />condition has been painstakingly renovated at a cost of over <br />$100,000(see attachment re: renovations done). Aluminum siding done <br />by previous owner. Original wood storm windows removed by previous <br />owner. House currently has aluminum storm windows. <br />Fourteen(14) windows were replaced previously during renovation of <br />kitchen /half bath /attic. These replacement windows are aluminum <br />clad(white) exterior and have muntins(simulated true divided light with <br />spacer bar) that replicate originals. <br />Owner wishes to replace remaining fourteen(14) windows with <br />Marvin ultimate .aluminum clad(exterior white) double hung windows <br />with simulated true divided light with spacer bars. Muntin pattern will <br />match original(4X2 panes per sash on lower windows and 3X2 panes <br />per sash on upper windows). Note that 5 of the 14 remaining windows <br />to be replaced already have a sash that was replaced with one large <br />pane of glass with no muntins such that they do not match the rest of <br />the original house windows. <br />Reasons for replacing the windows described above: <br />- Current remaining windows are in bad repair. Pulls are broken. Original <br />hardware is gone. Windows are drafty. Muntins are chipped and <br />damaged and were partially restored years back requiring hours and <br />hours of work with a poor cosmetic result.
