September, 2010 <br />Director's Report <br />17 August Prepared approved COAs and mailed to homeowners. On -sight visit to <br />Riverview Cemetery Gate House. Meeting with Chuck Bulot about the building permit <br />issues without a COA for 425 La Monte roof. GIS system omitted Chapin Park LHD <br />when it deleted the NR Districts from the HPC permitting system. <br />18 August Received Bartow Builders e-mailed proposal for light posts at Riverview <br />Cemetery with request for a Special Meeting. Began canvassing Commissioners for a <br />Special Meeting. <br />19 August Luncheon Meeting with Tamera and Michelle of DTSB about the State <br />Theatre being both for sale and being leased to Opera LaSalle. Arrangements for Special <br />Meeting. Lengthy conversation with Eric of Champion windows and Mrs. Gaul of 1204 E. <br />Wayne concerning the installation of additional vinyl windows and including the COA <br />dated June 15 at the Special Meeting the following week. Office had received the <br />application but no follow up information from Champion on the new proposal; Champion <br />was supposed to meet with sales rep and send info to Office. Prepared Staff report for 617 <br />Park. Three 106 Reviews. <br />20 August Meeting with James Childs Architect and Dennis Andres about work <br />proposed for Morris Performing Arts Centers windows and doors. On sight visits to <br />Riverview Cemetery, 1204 E. Wayne, 425 La Monte, and 510, 503 and 527 Lafayette <br />(trees) and 617 Park for photographic documentation for Special Meeting to be help on <br />August 25 at noon. Also 530 Riverside and 415 LaMonte for the 20 September meeting <br />and an on -sight visit to 801 Forest where conditions have deteriorated and the new owners <br />have applied for an RMF,/COA. Spoke with Ted Foti of Memorial Hospital about the <br />Singer South Bend Lathe N.R. District; prepared research for him to be hand delivered on <br />Monday. <br />21 August Posted Agenda for Special Meeting. Special Meeting follow up with <br />Brandon Bartow on the light fixtures. <br />23 August Vacation Day. Dropped off information to Ted Foti. <br />24 August Met with Tom Anderson and Nick Rchas on the way to work concerning <br />the removal of Lafayette Blvd. brick street and the asphalting after the sewer work is done. <br />Met with Carl Litterll concerning Lafayette Blvd. Met with Mark Lyons on the GIS system <br />with historic boundries missing and now the issues with Lafayette re -paving with asphalt. <br />Spoke with Champion windows about the COA for 1204 E. Wayne, not necessary that <br />they come since the Commission already approved previous windows at the house. <br />25 August Special Commission meeting at noon to entertain four COAs. Sent out <br />COAs to homeowners and contractors. Researched a comment by former Director and <br />
