Director's Report <br />February, 2010 <br />January 26 Met with Wayne Doolittle about the 2010 contract and submitted <br />signed copies to the County Commissioners and Auditor for their approval; also <br />requested from Wayne an outline of qualifications for his position since he was <br />retiring at year's end. <br />January 28 Meeting with SBCSC Superintendent Kapsa and Susan Coney, <br />Director of Communications with Elicia Dadlow, Wayne Doolittle, Sue Solmos <br />and area realtors as part of Sell South Bend. Marquette School was discussed <br />briefly. Also attended Lunch and Learn Series at the St. Joseph County Library. <br />January 29 Michiana History Group luncheon at the Jewish Federation, the <br />William Street Schul was a topic of interest. Attended the Restore Michiana <br />committee meeting. <br />February 1 Personal Day to make arrangements for son's wedding rehearsal <br />dinner. <br />February 3 Reviewed 1 Grant 106 Reviews with Preservation Specialist for City <br />of South Bend. Meeting at the Conservatories with new ad hoc Executive <br />Committee members. <br />February 4 Attended the Lunch and Learn Series: Economic Development <br />Current and Future Projects (Don Inks and WNIT). Meeting with Natalie Kline <br />and Lynda Simon of the Questor Group at the Conservatories concerning a <br />possible gift from a matching grant for the Conservatories. <br />February 5 On sight tour of 612 Portage with CPI, Inc. Followed up with Mike <br />Dyszkiewicz, Director of Parks Maintenance with answers to his questions about <br />the direction the BSSB is going with regards to the Conservatories and the Master <br />plans proposed by Greg Kil and Kathy Schuth. <br />February 8 Prepared for monthly HPC meeting and payroll deadlines. <br />February 9 Prepared Staff Reports for Staff review. Followed up with answers <br />to Mike Dyszkiewicz's additional inquires from the previous week. Marquette <br />School discussion with School Board member revolving around possible future <br />uses for the site. Reviewed Code Lists and 9 Demolition 106 Reviews for the City <br />
