NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />c. continued.... <br />Jerry Lerman stated that the real property <br />tax abatement for the proposed addition is <br />to accommodate the increase of <br />productivity that Steel Warehouse needs. <br />Ms. Auburn asked what kind of products <br />are Steel Warehouse's steel used to <br />manufacture. Jerry Lerman stated that the <br />major industries that their steel is used in <br />are the automotive industry, truck <br />industry, trailer industry, and the <br />appliance industry. <br />Ms. Schwartz asked where does Steel <br />Warehouse's steel come from. Jerry <br />Lerman stated that their steel comes from <br />a varieties of dometic and foreign <br />sources. He stated that the heavy gauges <br />primarily come from an area around <br />Chicago, Illinois and Gary, Indiana. Ms. <br />Scwartz asked if the steel comes by <br />railroad or truck. Jerry Lerman stated <br />that the equipment comes by both railroad <br />and truck. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, <br />seconded by Mr. Donoho and <br />unanimously carried, the Commission <br />adopted Resolution No. 1531 approving <br />an application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area.
