Staff approves of the re -roofing project. <br />After a presentation by architect, Bill Lamie of ADG that included an alternate option to <br />the diminish the length of the rear porch roof the Commission voted unanimously to <br />accept the original and alternate option to COA #2009-1005D after a motion by Lynn <br />Patrick and a second by Linda Riley and Jerry Niezgodski. <br />National Register Nominations: <br />Catherine Hostetler updated the Commissioners on the City Cemetery nomination and the <br />letter from Amy Walker of the DNR requesting a number of modifications and a change <br />in the form the nomination used. <br />Landmarks: <br />The Ordinance for St. Paul's Cemetery Will be submitted to the County Council as soon <br />as Larry Meteiver can develop the legal description. Catherine Hostetler is to give Larry <br />all of the information pertaining to that issue in the Office's files <br />The Ruston Apartments <br />The Resolution to designate the Rushton Apartments as a local landmark was presented <br />to the Commission for consideration by President Timothy Klusczinski. On the motion <br />by Timothy Klusczinski with a second by Jerry Niesgodski the Commissioners voted <br />unanimously to send the Ordinance to landmark the Rushton Apartments to the South <br />Bend Common Council. <br />Hearing of Visitors: <br />There were no visitors remaining. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />The Minutes of the September 21, 2009 meeting were accepted by consensus. <br />The September Location Report was discussed in light of the on going 2010 budget <br />discussions between the department heads and the various County Officials and Auditors. <br />Catherine is scheduled to meet with them on Tuesday, October 20 at 5:30 to request a <br />reduction of the 78% in cuts to the operating budget, so that necessary expenses would be <br />covered. <br />The Staff Reports were distributed along with the Correspondence File and the Third <br />Quarter Report for the Office along with September's Staff Approvals of COAs. There was <br />no report from Legal and the President's Report will be included in November's President's <br />Report. <br />11 <br />
