No changes may be made to the appearance of the site by removing trees, fencing, walkways, <br />outbuildings or other elements before evaluating their importance to the property's history and <br />development. Front yard areas shall not be transformed into parking lots nor paved nor <br />blacktopped, nor enclosed by solid fences, chain link, nor industrial/commercial style fences. <br />The installation of unsightly large devices, such as television satellite dishes, skylights or solar <br />panels, shall not be permitted in areas where they detract from the architecture of a building, are <br />intrusive to the public view of the building or are highly visibly from a public street, or ruled <br />inappropriate after Commission review. Utility poles with high-intensity overhead lights should <br />be installed so that they"cannot be seen from a street. Wayne N. is a two storey <br />Colonial Revival home with a rectangular floor plan; the roof is a low pitch gable with <br />asphalt shingles. The walls on the first storey are narrow roman brick painted white <br />while the second storey is white shingle. The second storey over hangs over the first <br />storey. The windows are 8/8 and 8/12 double hung with louvered shutters. The central <br />front door is flanked with windowed side lights, square pilasters support the lintel. <br />ALTERATIONS: The double front door has been replaced. The 1986 survey card notes <br />that there were aluminum storm windows, the house was remodeled in 1973 and that a <br />rear shed was added in 1979. The one storey family room rear addition was added inl980 <br />and the sunroom was added in 1985. The full view storm door and front window were <br />replaced in the 1990s. The fencing and gate have been replaced. A tiered deck system <br />with ramp appears to have been added to the landscaping features in rear of home. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: Master bedroom second floor addition, approximately <br />20'x16' on the southeast corner of the house.
