WRITTEN DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT <br />Date: October 5, 2009 <br />Property Location: 1318 East Wayne Street North <br />Architectural Style: Garrison Colonial <br />Date: 1956 <br />Architect or Builder: Unknown <br />Property Owner: Charles and Joan Lennon <br />District Designation: East Wayne Street <br />Rating: Non -Contributing <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: <br />Master Bedroom second floor addition to be built on the southeast corner of the home. <br />The size of the addition will be approximately 20'x16', and will align with the home's <br />east wall, and extend 2' (over -hang) beyond the south wall. Extending the existing one - <br />story's 2/12 roof slope along the south 20' length of the addition, creates a 6' roof <br />covered porch area, facing the existing patio and deck areas. <br />The addition's roof form will be a cross -gable to the existing home's side -gabled roof, <br />with matching 4/12 slope. Along with the new addition, the existing roof will - be <br />replaced, and receive new fiberglass asphalt 30yr. dimensional shingles. New pre - <br />finished aluminum soffits, fascia, and gutter/downspouts will match existing. <br />The addition will be wood frame construction, and clad with matching painted cedar <br />shake siding (13" exposure to match existing). New windows will compliment interior <br />use, and exterior architectural context, providing divided -lite muntins to match existing. <br />Pella® brand windows are specified. <br />
