Application for Certificate of Appropriateness to replace picket fence at 809 Forest Ave.
2. Written description of project: Replace rotting white picket fence along front (east) of side yard
with new wood picket fence (49' long, 4' high), and then continue this wood picket fence on
south side of yard (110' long, 4' high) to connect with existing wood fence on rear (west) and
north sides.
2. Materials to be used: Wood fencing (either treated or cedar, so as to last longer than current
fence did) in a style compatible with immediate neighbors. This would be most likely spaced
French gothic just like the current front fence, although the neighbors just across the street also
have dog-eared or flat pickets. See attached examples from Menard's flyer.
3. Site plan: See attached from City GIS.
4. Photograph: See attached (although it's hard to see the full extent of the current rot).
5. Drawings: See attached.
