Wayne is a 2 storey frame construction with a large front shed dormer set <br />on a rectangular floor plan situated on a corner lot. It has a gambrel roof with asphalt shingles <br />and has molded trim on the rake board. The windows are 6/6 double hung. The entry is a single <br />gable canopy with open arch under, entablature and cornice details, supported by square box <br />columns with lattice work and a brick stoop. <br />ALTERATIONS: <br />The garage 18 x 20 was built in 1949. Replacement siding (aluminum) was noted on the 1987 <br />survey card also as Altered, Major. The open porch on the north east corner of the house was <br />enclosed in 1995 (COA#1995-1130); a 700 square foot addition was added to the north side of <br />the house in 2000 (COA# 2000-0821). The two center windows on the second storey above the <br />entry's gable are replacement windows. There are aluminum storm windows on the front <br />windows. The louvered shutters noted on the 1987 survey card are no longer there. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: <br />Replace 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs windows with more energy-efficient windows as close to the <br />original construction as possible. All four windows face Wayne Street. <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: <br />The homeowners wish to completely replace the four front windows with Pella Architect Double <br />Hung 6/6. These windows are aluminum clad pine with insulated low E Standard glass. <br />
