Bickel 1704 E Wayne St. Page 2
The goal of the project is to:
1) Increase the individual 5 sq. ft. opening of the windows
(Fire Hazard) for the second floor. The windows are not
easy to open, the storms and screens are held into place by
4 screws that require pliers and a screwdriver to remove.
The steel bar in the middle of the window doesn't allow
for a larger person to exit quickly.
2) Reduce mold, mildew and moisture on the window pane,
sill, jamb and head and surrounding interior walls.
3) Insulate windows to increase energy savings and lower
heating and cooling bills.
4) Not modify the current window openings.
5) Make an Eco -Friendly choice with a vinyl product.
Because vinyl never needs to be painted, it helps eliminate
paint, stain and other maintenance -related products from
entering the waste stream or releasing volatile organic
compounds into the atmosphere. Also, vinyl resin is
derived largely from common salt — a sustainable and
abundant natural resource.
