Director's Report <br />January, 2009 <br />December 16-31, 2008 Prepared Minutes form December 15 HPC <br />meeting. Complied year end reports for IV and 2008 activity in Staff <br />Approvals, Environmental- Reviews, Fees etc. <br />Spoke with Sean Coleman, SJC Treasurer and offered HPC staff <br />assistance with year end tax payments. Assistant Director, Amy <br />Minnick, helped with the phones for two days over the lunch hours. <br />Notification of 2009 meeting dates sent out Officials and Newspaper. <br />Send letter to County Council concerning Assistant Director's change in <br />status from salary to 30 hours hourly with benefits per State Board of <br />Accounts; will attend meeting on January 27. <br />January 5, 2009 Letter to Don Dietz concerning 1031 E. Jefferson <br />January 6 Sent new County Commissioner, Dave Thomas copy of <br />HPC Out reach goals and programs. National Register nomination prep <br />for Sons of Israel <br />January 7 Letter to Laura Mallozzi concerning HPC January <br />meeting. Prepared Environmental Reviews and Location Reports. <br />National Register Nomination prep for Sons of Israel <br />January 8 Letter and Chapin Park Guidebooks to owners of 902 <br />Leland. BSSB Executive Committee meeting. <br />January 9 Meeting with Jim Markle of Building Department <br />concerning changes to landscaping for Monroe School not included in <br />COA application. Hebard will need to apply for COA concerning <br />placement of security lighting on building and overhead parking lot <br />lights. Restore Michiana Planning meeting at HPC Conference Room. <br />January 12 Prepared report for Auditor's Office on 2008 State and <br />Federal Grants. Attended Finance Committee meeting at Northern <br />Indiana Center for History. <br />January 13 Chaired South Bend Rotary Foundation meeting. <br />January 15 Prepared research for BSSB newsletter on Arizona <br />Dome. Attended opening of Demo Bids and met with an awardee <br />concerning salvage opportunities. Researched fagade easements on 803 <br />W. Washington Street. <br />
