Director's Report <br />August 2009 <br />July 21 Arranged meeting'with SBCSC and Hebard & Hebard with <br />Commissioners at Monroe School. Discussed the photographic requirements <br />for Marquette School National Register nomination with Frank Hurdis. <br />July 22 Prepared 2010 Budget for Department. <br />July 23 Commissioners meeting at Monroe School for recommendations <br />on slate, windows and masonry coatings. <br />July 24 106 Review site visits in Lakeville and North Liberty. Meeting <br />with Jerry Niezgodski, Treasurer concerning the Department's <br />Location/Budget reports and process. <br />July 27 On site inspection with Gibson and Lewis on the 1855 Court <br />House windows and the use of the Abbatron product line. Attended Heather <br />Willis Neal's presentation at the St. Joseph County Library on Indiana's <br />Open Door Policy and how it applies to the HPC. <br />July 29 Meeting with Mr. Bickle for the re- submission of their COA <br />application for replacement windows at 1704 East Wayne. <br />August 3 Meeting with County Commissioner Dave Thomas on current <br />and 2010 Department Budget. On site meeting with Jason Cook of Blue and <br />Gold Homes concerning the removal of the front porch at 326 W. Marion in <br />the Chapin Park LHD. Provided him and the homeowner with the Standards <br />and Guidelines for Chapin Park and advice as to how to reinstall the porch. <br />August 5 Met with Mike Szymanski of the SBCSC Service Department for <br />the submission of the in -kind replacement of the wood doors at Jefferson <br />School. Arranged for permission to review blue prints /architectural drawings <br />for Marquette School at the Service Department. <br />August 6 &7 Vacation Days. <br />August 10 Attended the Finance Committee meeting for the Northern <br />Indiana Center for History; researched the fagade easement for the Oliver <br />Inn, prepared 106 Reviews, on site visits to Jefferson School and 1041 <br />Riverside Drive. <br />
