15. Wire bundles between subpanels and front panel mounted devices shall be <br />anchored and protected from damage by opening and closing of the panel <br />door. <br />16. No front panel mounted device requiring operator manipulation (e.g. <br />pushbutton, hand switch, controller) shall be located higher than 66- inches <br />above finished floor or grade. <br />17. Panel shall have a blank lockable front panel door. Devices shall be mounted <br />on a swing out panel directly behind front door. <br />18. Panduits located on either side of terminal strips shall have a minimum <br />clearance of 1.5- inches between the panduit and terminal strip. <br />19. An easily accessible pocket built into the panel door shall be provided to <br />enclose the "As Built" panel wiring diagrams. <br />20. Panels shall be UL approved. <br />21. Control panels located in field shall be NEMA 4X rated and shall have the <br />following features: <br />a. Panels shall be Type 316L stainless steel construction with a minimum <br />thickness of 12 -gage for all surfaces (except those areas requiring <br />reinforcement) having a smooth brushed finish. <br />b. Stainless steel screw clamp assemblies on three sides of each door. <br />c. Rolled lip around three sides of door and along top of enclosure opening. <br />d. Hasp and staple for padlocking. Provide stainless steel padlock. <br />Coordinate keying requirements with Owner. <br />e. Panel shall be white polyester urethane powder coated, from the factory, <br />to reduce solar heat load. <br />B. Identification: <br />1. Provide laminated plastic nameplate for identification of panels. Use self - <br />tapping stainless steel screw for fastening. In instances where self - tapping <br />screws may degrade the panel NEMA rating, the NEMA rating shall be <br />retained through the use of gaskets on both sides of the panel surface and the <br />use of a retaining plate on the panel back that is of identical size to that of the <br />nameplate. In this case, full penetration screws with nuts shall be used. <br />2. Panel identification nameplates shall have 1/2 -inch high letter engravings. <br />3. All front panel mounted devices shall be identified with nameplates engraved <br />with the functional description of the device. Nameplate engraving shall be in <br />accordance with the identification provided in the contract drawings <br />4. Tag all electrical components and devices mounted within control panels <br />with high adhesive labels. <br />5. All terminal strips shall be identified with nameplate engraved as "TB -XX" <br />where `XX' is the numerical identification of the terminal strip. <br />6. All terminals within the terminal strip shall be identified with sequential <br />numbers and wire numbers. <br />7. All internal panel wiring shall be color coded and numerically identified with <br />unique wire numbers affixed at both ends. Color coding shall be as per the <br />Panel Wiring Color Code Table below: <br />DESCRIPTION I COLOR <br />3029 -017 13400 -13 <br />
