SPECIAL MEETING
21 AUGUST 2009
HPC Conference Room
MEMORANDA
MEMBERS PRESENT: David Sassano, Todd Zeiger, Linda Riley, Timothy
Klusczinski, Lynn Patrick
Members Absent: Jerry Niezgodski
Staff Present: Catherine Hostetler, Director; Larry Meteiver, Attorney
Participants: Andrea Lodge of 1327 E. Wayne N and Bill Lamie of ADG
The meeting was called to order at 12:00 noon.
The Commissioners reviewed and discussed with the homeowner and the
architect the drawings of the proposed revisions to COA 2009 -0601B approved at
the June 15, 2009 meeting.
On a motion by Todd Zeiger with a second by Linda Riley the revisions to the
rear roof and the exchange of the existing door for a window on the second
storey were unanimously approved.
There was then a discussion concerning the incompleteness of a COA for 1041
Riverside Drive. It was suggested that Special Meetings be called only for
changes for approved projects in progress or for emergencies.
There was a discussion on the restoration of the porch at 947 Riverside. The
COA 2009 -0504A approved the installation of columns. These columns were not
used as the original fabric of the porch columns were basically intact. It was
determined that the Staff should have alerted the Commission in the staff report.
It was suggested that the Preservation Specialist have a form to document the
inspections of projects.
