Schmiedeler and Renee Marie LaReau <br />Landmark or District Designation: East Wayne Street <br />Rating: Significant <br />DESCRIPTION OF STRUCTURE/ SITE: This two storey brick Renaissance Revival home has the <br />original tile roof and features brick quoins, Corinthian columns between the front arched windows, leaded <br />glass windows flank the decorative doorway molding. See Photo 91 <br />ALTERATIONS: The side porch was enclosed and the garage added around 1951. There are aluminum <br />storm windows and storm door on front of house and five replacement fixed single pane windows. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: Replacement of 12 double hung wood windows, 5 vinyl picture windows <br />and 1 hinged wood window with Marvin Insert wood windows (replace 18 of 30 windows in house). <br />Replacement of bare aluminum front storm door with Larson full -view almond color aluminum storm <br />door to match trim. Further details in attached document. <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: Repair 4 double hung windows but replacement of 12 <br />double hung with Marvin Ultimate Insert Double Hung wood windows with aluminum clad exteriors and <br />with simulated divided lights that are permanently adhered to both sides of the glass (pages 7,8,12,13,15, <br />17&18) . These will duplicate the 6/6 of the original windows and will include full exterior screens with <br />aluminum surrounds. Replace five replacement vinyl fixed single pane "picture" windows (pp. 9 11 & 20) <br />the windows on page 11 will be replaced with double hung windows and the kitchen window on page 20 <br />will be replaced by a Marvin Insert Awning wood window all of the other will be replaced with a Marvin <br />Insert picture wood window. Replace one hinged wooden window (p.10) with a Marvin Ultimate Insert <br />Double Hung to duplicate current muttin pattern. Replace the non -original storm door with a full view <br />storm door. <br />STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES: <br />C. WINDOWS AND DOORS <br />Window and door frames are of wood or steel (some casements) or in the case of brick structures, stone sills and <br />brick lintels. Where metal or vinyl siding has been applied, window trim has been covered. Storm windows are of <br />wood or aluminum. <br />
