the lead on that; do the investigation, before we hold our regularly scheduled meeting and for the Standards <br />and Maintenance Committee to give that presentation at that meeting. <br />New Business: <br />Mary Jane Chase summarized her experience at the Third District meeting with the Parks Board <br />concerning the condition and status of the Zoo, Conservatory, Golf Courses and Parks. The citizens and <br />college students from Bethel and IUSB were enthusiastic in their support for the need of educational programs <br />and not just games. The Parks Board said that a Volunteer Coordinator would be needed. Todd Zeiger <br />proposed that the Botanical Society investigate a 99 -Year lease of the Conservatories from the City of South <br />Bend. <br />In a motion by President Klusczinski with a second from Mary Jane Chase the Commission voted <br />unanimously to elevate Linda Riley to Secretary from Assistant Secretary. <br />In a motion by President Klusczinski with multiple seconds the Commission voted unanimously for <br />Larry Meteiver and Catherine Hostetler to form an ad hoc committee to investigate the use of summary <br />minutes for the Commission's public hearings and meetings. <br />Upon a Motion by President Klusczinski with multiple seconds, the Commission voted to unanimously <br />to Adjourn at 8:40 pm. <br />7 <br />
