Director's Report March, 2008 February27 Met with Randy Ray, Director of NICH concerning the National Register Nomination of the Sons of Israel Synagogue February 28 Met with Innkeepers of the W. Washington B&Bs concerning the idea of a 2009 Calendar to highlight the B&Bs and compliment the West Washington Street Pod Cast. Fulfilled Role as Secretary for the Botanical Society of South Bend's monthly membership meeting. February 29 Delivered Historic Landmark Plaque to Paula Elliott for the Ullery-Farnam House. Followed up with listing of contractors and additional information on die property March 3 Guest Speaker on Historic Preservation Commission and its work at Mishawka Rotary luncheon. Attended the Mayor's State of the City Address at the Football Hall of Fame. March 4 On sight visit with Kathleen Neal concerning the construction of a storage/garden shed atlocal landmark 1329 E Washington. Attended presentation of Holladay Corp's concept for East Bank Village at the Bendix Theatre in Century Center. March 8 Restore Michiana at St, Joseph High School March 10 Participated in Center for History Finance Committee meeting. Consulted with Phyllis Emmons, Director of Human Resources for St. Joseph County. March 11 Chaired Rotary Charitable Foundation Meeting at Indiana Trust. Attended County Commissioners meeting for appropriations of the 80/20 grant for Troyer's assessment of Landmarked Church at 101 S. Lafayette. March 12 Meeting with Debbie Grant and David Piser at the Jewish Federation for research on the Sons of Israel National Register Nomination. March 13 Participated in Board Meeting of Economics Club of Michiana. On -sight visit with Wayne for project at 805 Bronson in Edgewater Met with Chuck Simon at the Jewish Federation concerning the research for the Sons of Israel National Register Nomination. Attended the second meeting of the W. Washington Street's B&B owners that also included the owner of Innisfree concerning the calendar proposal. They would like to do the calendar and also include other organizations and businesses on W. Washington. March 14 Extensive on -sight interior and exterior tour/assessment with Wayne of Oliver Inn and the work needed for the flat roofs and other exterior repair work with owners Alice and Tim Erlandson.
