Director's Report <br />March, 2008 <br />February27 Met with Randy Ray, Director of NICH concerning the National Register <br />Nomination of the Sons of Israel Synagogue <br />February 28 Met with Innkeepers of the W. Washington B&Bs concerning the idea of a <br />2009 Calendar to highlight the B&Bs and compliment the West Washington Street Pod <br />Cast. Fulfilled Role as Secretary for the Botanical Society of South Bend's monthly <br />membership meeting. <br />February 29 Delivered Historic Landmark Plaque to Paula Elliott for the Ullery-Farnam <br />House. Followed up with listing of contractors and additional information on die property <br />March 3 Guest Speaker on Historic Preservation Commission and its work at <br />Mishawka Rotary luncheon. Attended the Mayor's State of the City Address at the <br />Football Hall of Fame. <br />March 4 On sight visit with Kathleen Neal concerning the construction of a <br />storage/garden shed atlocal landmark 1329 E Washington. Attended presentation of <br />Holladay Corp's concept for East Bank Village at the Bendix Theatre in Century Center. <br />March 8 Restore Michiana at St, Joseph High School <br />March 10 Participated in Center for History Finance Committee meeting. Consulted <br />with Phyllis Emmons, Director of Human Resources for St. Joseph County. <br />March 11 Chaired Rotary Charitable Foundation Meeting at Indiana Trust. Attended <br />County Commissioners meeting for appropriations of the 80/20 grant for Troyer's <br />assessment of Landmarked Church at 101 S. Lafayette. <br />March 12 Meeting with Debbie Grant and David Piser at the Jewish Federation for <br />research on the Sons of Israel National Register Nomination. <br />March 13 Participated in Board Meeting of Economics Club of Michiana. On -sight <br />visit with Wayne for project at 805 Bronson in Edgewater Met with Chuck Simon at the <br />Jewish Federation concerning the research for the Sons of Israel National Register <br />Nomination. Attended the second meeting of the W. Washington Street's B&B owners <br />that also included the owner of Innisfree concerning the calendar proposal. They would <br />like to do the calendar and also include other organizations and businesses on W. <br />Washington. <br />March 14 Extensive on -sight interior and exterior tour/assessment with Wayne of <br />Oliver Inn and the work needed for the flat roofs and other exterior repair work with <br />owners Alice and Tim Erlandson. <br />
