Assistant Director's Report <br />HPC Meeting —07/21/2008 <br />■ Created W Washington Walking Tour packets for delivery to: Center for <br />History, Tippecanoe, The Oliver Inn, The Cushing Manor, The Queen <br />Anne and the Inn on West Washington. Delivered packets with Jennifer <br />Gregar's assistance. <br />■ Generated press release about West Washington Walks availability <br />online. <br />■ Collaborated with County, City, DTSB and the Center for History to <br />make pod cast available on their respective websites. <br />■ Awaiting County Commissioner consent to make grant application to <br />NEH on behalf of City Cemetery. Began soliciting letters of support. <br />Grant deadline is 7/31/2008, we may not make it! <br />■ Received notification that St. Joseph County had also been designated a <br />Preserve American community. We're 2 for 2! <br />■ Attended NAPC Forum in New Orleans. Great experience. I got to <br />meet Ron Anzalone, Director of Preserve America, and got to hear John <br />Nau, Director of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation speak. <br />Motivating! All travel and registration was covered by scholarship at no <br />expense to the HPC. <br />■ Solicited suggestions for annual Six at Risk list. <br />■ Began work on Fall Newsletter. <br />■ Compiled 2 year grant total at Catherine's request. Total grant, stipend, <br />fellowship monies personally generated 2006-2008:$19,250.00. <br />■ Compiled information for presentation to the Parks Board regarding a <br />request to commission the preparation of a Preservation Plan for City <br />Cemetery. Will present the request at Parks Board meeting on <br />7/21/2008. <br />■ Made plans with HLFI for guided walking tours of W Washington Street <br />for ND Football Fridays. Made flier, completed Public Works <br />paperwork. <br />■ Scheduled Preserve America information meeting for July 30, 2008. Will <br />distribute flier. <br />0 Attended Code hearing regarding 620 S Carroll. (Taylor's Field) <br />
