Assistant Director's Report <br />HPC Meeting — 08/18/2008 <br />■ Completed transcribing HPC Meeting minutes from 7/21/2008 meeting. <br />■ Compiled nominations for 2008 Glorious George awards. <br />■ Drove Districts with Wayne Doolittle to assemble photos of GG nominees for <br />voting. <br />■ Solicited assistance of Building Dept employees to vote for GG nominees. <br />• Continued work on HPC Fall Newsletter. <br />• Solicited input for 3` annual Six at Risks list. Began researching properties. <br />• Conducted Preserve America Informational briefing -18 in attendance. <br />• Created Preserve America Power Point presentation. Shared with DHPA, <br />Ft Wayne HPC Staff. <br />■ Met with Parks Dept on potentially landmarkting City Cemetery. Awaiting <br />word of approval /denial from Parks Superintendent. <br />■ Investigated alleged vandalism at City Cemetery. <br />■ Conferred with Wayne Doolittle about possibly expanding plans for Restore <br />Michiana 09. <br />■ Requested meeting with HLFI and other HPC Staff and Commissioners to <br />begin planning RM 09. <br />■ Alerted NTHP's Chicago office of pending grant application for RM 09. <br />■ Monitored Code deadlines on 612/614 S Carroll and 620 S. Carroll. <br />■ Informed Monroe Parks neighbors of Code developments. <br />■ Conducted research on Common Council ordinance creating Public Works <br />fund for City Cemetery in 1941. <br />■ Helped prepare materials for W Washington Street yard sale. <br />■ Conferred, at length, with disgruntled Edgewater Place residents. <br />
