Director's Report August, 2008 July 22 Testified at Code Hearing concerning 215 Hammond in the River Bend LHD. July 23 Met with Rev. Bill Wassner, Director of United Religious Communities and Ed Levy, President of Freeman - Spicer concerning the purchase of 501 N. Main in the Chapin Park NR by the URC and securing the services of an Inspector. Provided Rev. Wassner with a listing of four names to consider at the request of Mr. Levy. July 24 Met with Terry De Rosa and BSSB concerning the Conservatories July 28 Meeting with Todd Zeiger and Tim Klusczinski concerning adopting a new format for the Staff Reports. July 29 Data Board meeting to secure 3 up -dated computers for the Office from Countij surplus. Request approved. Attended IDEM open- house. July 30 Attended Management Training sponsored by St. Joe County HK and Perspectives. Attended Assistant Director's Preserve America presentation at St. Joe County Library. August 1 Meeting with Mark Dobson concerning HPC Budget. August 5 Meeting with Hebard & Hebard concerning plans for Monroe School additions and renovations along with David Sassano, Todd Zeiger and Tim Klusczinski. August 6 Submitted 2009 Budget to Auditor's Office. HPC 2009 Budget in on reverse of this report. August 11 Participated in the Finance Committee meeting for Northern Indiana Center for History Board of Directors. August 12 Meeting with BSSB and Terry De Rose and Bob Monroe concerning plans for the pond in the Conservatories. Attended and participated in the meeting at HLFI concerning INDOT "s widening of SR23 and its potential impact on the land - marked Metzger House. Meeting with Phyllis Emmons, HR Director on refining job descriptions for staff. August 13 Met with Homeowner, Nick Witwer at 814 Ashland concerning exterior projects and repairs that he is considering for the home. August 15 Met with Linda and Norm Riley at 1326 E. Wayne with Wayne Doolittle and Brent Thompson concerning the removal of mulberry trees.
