It is a I I/- storey frame home with a I storey gable wing and an ' <br />irregular floor plan. The central section of the house has a gable roof with large shed donners. There are <br />casement windows as well as a large picture windo'w with brick header course sills and ornamental <br />louvered shutters. The fagade is brick with ' vertical and horizontal wood siding. The central porch has a <br />shed roof that extends froin the first storey gable wind with brick supports and a brick and concrete stoop. <br />There is a central'brick chimney. There is an attached two car garage with one garage door and a gable <br />roof. <br />ALTERATIONS: There is a pre -1986 1 storey hip rear. addition. New Storm -Doors. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS,: Vinyl Window Replacement <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT,. Replace casement windows with Champion Windows <br />in vinyl weather weld tan replicating the muntin patterns of the originals. In the basement: 2 Atkis Glass <br />block windows one with vent and another with dryer vent; 4 Hopper tilt Basement Window with f ull <br />screen; I casement with screen for kitchen, 12 double casements throughout the house; 5 Double <br />casements with fixed centers in three upstairs bedrooms, the landing; and one downstairs bedroom with . a <br />double - casement with a fixed central picture window without muntins. WINDOWS AND DOORS <br />Window and door frames are of wood or steel (some casements) or in the case of brick structures, stone sills and <br />brick lintels Where metal or vinyl siding has been applied, window trim has been covered. Storm windows are of <br />wood or aluminum. <br />Required <br />Original windows and doors shall be retained including sashes, lintels, sills, shutters, decorative glass, pediments, <br />hoods mid hardware. When deteriorated beyond repair, they shall be replaced with units and trim resembling the <br />original. <br />Recommended <br />Wood frame storm windows and doors painted to match the original should be used but should not damage existing <br />frames. If new sashes doors are installed, the existing or original materials, design, and - hardware should be used. <br />When metal storm doors are used, they should be painted, anodized or coated to match the existing. When awnings <br />are used they should be of canvas material. <br />
