APPROVAL OF MINUTES March 17, 2008 Moved: Riley Second: Chase Approved 5 — 0 Unanimously B. TREASURER'S REPORT i. Received as presented. Per Treasurer Chase, any questions should be addressed to Director Hostetler. C. STAFF REPORTS 1. Correspondence 2. Director — Catherine Hostetler Distributed to Commission. 3. Assistant Director — Amy Herdman Distributed to Commission. 4. Legal Counsel — Larry Metiever Counsel reported that homeowner Georges Enderle had filed an appeal regarding HPC denials of his C of A's. At the time of the meeting, Counsel had not had time to examine the appeal, but will keep Commissioners apprised of the appeal and the process. - D. COMMITTEE REPORTS 1. President's Report — Tim Klusczinski A special meeting of the HPC was held to clarify HPC bylaws. That meeting was held on 4/16/2208. By resolution, the definition of quorum is now the presence of the majority of the HPC's seated membership, with no less than three being represented. Chair thanks all that participated. Committee Reports — Advisory Board — Tim Klusczinski The Advisory Board sat for its first meeting on March 18, 2008. The next meeting is scheduled for April 29, 2008, at 5:15pm, location TBD. Objectives of the meeting will be to select Board size and quorum, select regular executive members and to set vision and goals. HI. OLD BUSINESS At Commissioner Riley's request, Director Hostetler reviewed the recent developments regarding Marquette School, including a proposed visit to South Bend by DLGF agent Cheryl Musgrave that is tentatively scheduled for 4/25/2008. Information will be disseminated to Commissioners as it becomes available from Indianapolis. IV. NEW BUSINESS President Klusczinski appointed an ad -hoc committee of one (himself) to review the HPC's current C of A practices from receipt at the HPC office, through consideration and voting by Commissioners. CLG Training was postponed until the May HPC meeting. Commissioner Zeiger distributed handouts to Commissioners and will present the CLG training next month. Commissioner Zeiger announced the date of the program "Greening Your Historic House" on May 21, 2008 at 7:00pm in the Colfax Auditorium at the St. Joseph County Library Downtown South Bend. The program was to have been presented at Restore Michiana but had to be reschedule. All parties on the wait list for the workshop will be notified. 0
