APPROVAL OF MINUTES March 17, 2008 <br />Moved: Riley Second: Chase <br />Approved 5 — 0 Unanimously <br />B. TREASURER'S REPORT <br />i. Received as presented. Per Treasurer Chase, any questions should be <br />addressed to Director Hostetler. <br />C. STAFF REPORTS <br />1. Correspondence <br />2. Director — Catherine Hostetler <br />Distributed to Commission. <br />3. Assistant Director — Amy Herdman <br />Distributed to Commission. <br />4. Legal Counsel — Larry Metiever <br />Counsel reported that homeowner Georges Enderle had filed an appeal regarding <br />HPC denials of his C of A's. At the time of the meeting, Counsel had not had time <br />to examine the appeal, but will keep Commissioners apprised of the appeal and the <br />process. - <br />D. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />1. President's Report — Tim Klusczinski <br />A special meeting of the HPC was held to clarify HPC bylaws. That meeting was <br />held on 4/16/2208. By resolution, the definition of quorum is now the presence of <br />the majority of the HPC's seated membership, with no less than three being <br />represented. Chair thanks all that participated. <br />Committee Reports — Advisory Board — Tim Klusczinski <br />The Advisory Board sat for its first meeting on March 18, 2008. The next meeting <br />is scheduled for April 29, 2008, at 5:15pm, location TBD. Objectives of the <br />meeting will be to select Board size and quorum, select regular executive members <br />and to set vision and goals. <br />HI. OLD BUSINESS <br />At Commissioner Riley's request, Director Hostetler reviewed the recent developments <br />regarding Marquette School, including a proposed visit to South Bend by DLGF agent Cheryl <br />Musgrave that is tentatively scheduled for 4/25/2008. Information will be disseminated to <br />Commissioners as it becomes available from Indianapolis. <br />IV. NEW BUSINESS <br />President Klusczinski appointed an ad -hoc committee of one (himself) to review the HPC's <br />current C of A practices from receipt at the HPC office, through consideration and voting by <br />Commissioners. <br />CLG Training was postponed until the May HPC meeting. Commissioner Zeiger distributed <br />handouts to Commissioners and will present the CLG training next month. <br />Commissioner Zeiger announced the date of the program "Greening Your Historic House" on <br />May 21, 2008 at 7:00pm in the Colfax Auditorium at the St. Joseph County Library Downtown <br />South Bend. The program was to have been presented at Restore Michiana but had to be <br />reschedule. All parties on the wait list for the workshop will be notified. <br />0 <br />
