SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />April 16, 2008 <br />5:45 pm HPC Conference Room <br />Called to order at 5:45 p.m. <br />Members attending: David Sassano, Lynn Patrick, Linda Riley, Mary Jane Chase, Timothy <br />Klusczinski, Larry Metiever (Counsel) <br />Second: Sassano <br />Passes: 5 -0 <br />A previous meeting was held during which the 5 present Commission members listed above <br />voted unanimously to accept the language presented by President Klusczinski regarding a <br />proposed change to the HPC by laws as detailed below: <br />"a quorum shall consist of a majority of the duly appointed and serving members, provided that a <br />quorum shall never be less than three (3) members. " <br />Procedure and authorization for making this amendment was detailed in the minutes of the <br />previous Special Meeting of 4/16/2008. Please see that document for that information. <br />President Klusczinski made the motion to adopt the accepted language in the form of a resolution. <br />"Therefore be it resolved by the Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend & St. Joseph <br />County as follows: <br />Section #1 <br />Article 4, Section 3 of the by laws should be amended as follows: Article 4, Section 3 Quorum: ' a <br />quorum shall consist of a majority of the duly appointed and serving members, provided that a <br />quorum shall never be less than three (3) members'. <br />Section #2 <br />This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the Commission, adopted at a <br />meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend &' St. Joseph County held on <br />April 16, 2008 at the HPC Conference Room, 125 S. Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana <br />46601." <br />Klusczinski: Is there a second? <br />Chase: Second. <br />Klusczinski: Motion has been made and seconded. Any discussion? <br />Sassano: None from me. <br />Patrick: None. <br />Klusczinski: Hearing none, we move on to public hearing. Is there any member <br />of the public wishing to speak in support of the current resolution? Hearing <br />none, is there anyone wishing to speak in opposition to the current resolution? <br />Also hearing none, Chair closes public hearing. All those in favor? (Ayes are <br />heard) All those opposed? (Silence) The motion carries by a 5 -0 vote of all of <br />those present.
