Sav -A -Lot grocery store, <br />which will be approximately 15,000 <br />square feet and the Chapin Street clinic. <br />The building has split block and some <br />brick. There won't be windows in the <br />grocery store except for the entrance. <br />High windows will be located all along the <br />clinic for privacy. Consideration will be <br />given to the design of the facility that will <br />include landscaping around the building. <br />He noted that this project has been two <br />years in the making and that it's a <br />byproduct of the planning of the West <br />Washington- Chapin Revitalization Project <br />and South Bend Heritage Foundation. <br />Mr. Gibney stated that he's extremely <br />pleased that the Rhodes family, which has <br />been in the grocery store business for many <br />years with the Park -N -Shop facilities, will <br />be the owners and managers of Sav -A -Lot. <br />South Bend Heritage Foundation is very <br />pleased to have experienced individuals <br />developing the grocery store. <br />He also felt that the Chapin Street Clinic is <br />a great success story. They are extremely <br />greatful to St. Joseph Hospital for the <br />Chapin Street Clinic. They are excited <br />about the new location for the clinic which <br />will more than double the size of it. The <br />clinic currently has 78 physicians who <br />volunteer their services along with 60 non- <br />physician volunteers throughout the <br />community.
