US 31 <br />June 28 BSSB Membership Meeting at the Conservatories: 501c3 in place will be <br />working towards setting up Foundation <br />June 29 City Celebration Park After Dark, set up movie and clean up <br />July 5 BSSB Executive Committee Meeting <br />July 6 Dedication of John Wooden Way at Central High School <br />July 9 DNR Public hearing for Sewer Project near Riverside LHD; <br />SBCSC Meeting <br />July 10 Progress Repost submitted for SB Survey publication to DHPA <br />July 11 Mike Eby concerning City Grant to HPC and J. Edward Talley restitution <br />July 16 Introductory meeting with Phyllis Emmons, the new St. Joseph County HR <br />Director <br />Edited City of South Bend Survey Maps 1-6 and mailed to Amanda Jones at HLFI along <br />with Amy's editing of 5 local and National register districts. This has turned out to be a <br />massive undertaking and has included field work as well to verify conflicting information <br />from previous surveys and survey cards. <br />Also staff continued to work with neighborhood activists concerning Marquette School and <br />its landmarking and the SBCSC Bond issue which contains its demolition. There was a <br />successful petition drive for a Petition and Remonstrance against this bond issue. It is now <br />up to SBCSC and its attorney's to: withdraw the bond issue, postpone it until next year or <br />pursue the Petition and Remonstrance process. <br />
