B. TREASURER'S REPORT <br />Accepted into record as presented. <br />C. STAFF REPORTS <br />1. Correspondence <br />Recently received newsletters/flyers from MACOG and the National Trust were <br />circulated. <br />2. Director — Catherine Hostetler <br />Distributed to Commission. <br />3. Assistant Director — Amy Herdman <br />Distributed to Commission. AD also pointed out her report on the NUSA conference <br />which was included in Commissioner's packets. <br />4. Legal Counsel — Shawn Peterson <br />Counsel was welcomed back to service by the Commission. <br />Counsel informed Commissioners that a change to Indiana's Open Door Law would be <br />going into effect in July 2007. This change prohibits gatherings of Commissioners, held <br />less than 7 days apart, that if combined would constitute quorum. Lawyers are still <br />deliberating the language and intent of the changes, but they're scheduled to take effect <br />on July ls` <br />Counsel also researched a previous question regarding a facility at Leeper Park West. <br />That inquiry is on going. <br />D. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />1. President's Report — Tim Klusczinski <br />5/22/07 <br />• 3:00 PM Meeting at HPC to discuss evening event <br />• 8:45 PM George Cutter Lampposts Recognition Ceremony at the Michigan Street Bridge. In <br />attendance were Mayor Steve Luecke, Lynn Patrick, Catherine Hostetler, Amy Herdman, Mary Jane <br />Chase, Martha Choitz, Gary Gilot, Carl Littrell, Chuck Leone, and Jennifer Jackson among others. <br />5/30/07 <br />• Amy and Wayne introduced me to Troy Bush while on his tour of historic Chapin Park. Mr. Bush is <br />exploring a unique investment prospect that involves the Drewry's facility. <br />6/1/07 <br />• Staff Meeting to review policy and procedures. Present: Tim Klusczinski, Catherine Hostetler, Amy <br />Herdman, and Lynn Patrick (in -progress arrival). <br />6/4/07 <br />• City Celebration "Fun by the Fountain" debriefing session with Catherine Hostetler, Amy Herdman, <br />Mikki Dobski (Communications and Special Projects) and her assistant Jennifer Jackson. The <br />upcoming "Park After Dark" event scheduled for June 29`x, 2007 was also discussed. A follow up <br />meeting was tentatively set for June 11. <br />6/4/07 <br />• 5:30 PM: South Bend Community School Corp. Board of Trustees Meeting. Important topics <br />included reconstruction proposals for Marquette Primary Center as listed in the Lease Rental Revenue <br />Bonds agenda item. Several members of the public expressed a desire to sustain and rehabilitate the <br />current building in lieu of a new facility. <br />6/5/07 <br />• Returned Cemetery conference materials to HPC office. <br />12 <br />
