February] Attended a Countywide meeting concerning the affects of the Circuit <br />Breaker on the budgets of the City and County. Volunteered to be on the task <br />force. <br />February 6 Meeting with Jason Durr of Public Works, Staff and Brendon <br />Crumlish concerning the sewer project under the St. Joseph River between <br />Northshore and Riverside Drive and its application for a COA. <br />February 9 Meeting with Mayor and President Klusczinski concerning the <br />Commission's role in the City and our involvement with promoting the City and <br />its neighborhoods and the annual grant funding to HPC from the City. <br />Conducted walking tour our downtown South Bend between 1:30-4:30 for Dr. <br />Krupali Uplekar's graduate class, reviewed architectural styles and the evolution of <br />the downtown from the 1900s -present along Michigan and Main between Wayne <br />and LaSalle. <br />February 12 Meeting of the Finance Committee for the Northern Indiana Center <br />for History. <br />February 15 Met with Lynn Patrick and Mary Jane Chase concerning Southhold <br />Awards on May 5, its menu and pricing and 2006 awards. Participated in <br />Botanical Society steering committee meeting at 5:30. <br />February 22 March Museum Madness meeting with interested parties from all <br />area museums, DTSB, HPC staff and Mayor's Office. Attended the Grand opening <br />of the Family Justice Center at 711 E. Colfax; HPC did the 106 reviews and <br />worked with Catherine Wilson and DOJ Washington DC office for this project. <br />Attended Mayor Luecke's campaign announcement. Participated in Botanical <br />Society meeting at Zion Church, elected to Board of Directors and Secretary <br />position. <br />February 23 Attended John Charles Bryant's presentation on South Bend's <br />African American Founding Families and Notable Citizens at the SJC Library. HPC <br />sponsored event with Black Expo providing refreshments. <br />
