Assistant Director's Report <br />HPC Meeting —10-16-2006 <br />■ Prepared HPC Meeting minutes of 09.18.2006 <br />■ Met with Tenn Laurent of Econ and Community Development to discuss "Re -Use <br />Ready" properties within South Bend. <br />■ Attended Cornelius O'Brien Conference in Wabash, Indiana. <br />■ Met with Mikki Dobski to discuss City Celebration 2007. <br />■ Attended Redevelopment Commission meeting 10/6/2006. <br />■ Applied for "My Hometown Helper" grant. <br />■ Established correspondence with Herb Society of America regarding grant <br />funding for Leeper Park Herb Garden restoration. <br />■ Met with Commissioner Dieter regarding Potawatomi situation. <br />■ Maintained contact with Richard Died. <br />■ Reviewed City Plan Implementation Chapter. <br />■ Attended Code Enforcement hearing regarding 319 N. William. <br />■ Subsequently prepared correspondence to owners of 319 N William regarding <br />the results of the Code Enforcement hearing. <br />■ Began preparation of "Re -Use Ready" inventory of downtown businesses. <br />■ Created plan for "Make a Difference Day Michiana". <br />■ Took receipt of it proof for A Souvenir of South Bend calendar. <br />■ Met with Marilyn Thompson of Center for History regarding proof. <br />■ Edited and returned proof for revisions. <br />■ Met with Jean Dewinter regarding Potawatomi situation. <br />■ Began production of HPC Holiday Greeting cards. <br />■ Attended Stakeholders meeting with Parks Department. <br />
