resurvey of the City and the republishing of the County survey. Martha Choitz asked if other plans had <br />been consulted, included that of the National Trust. Shawn Peterson voiced his agreement that the Plan <br />needs to be rewritten, as there are many ambiguous sections. Todd stated that he could come up with <br />some figures for the project and Lynn asked that Tim's report be included in the June meeting packet. <br />D. STAFF REPORTS <br />1. Director's Report <br />Catherine submitted her report and gave an update on the RestoreMichiana conference and volunteer <br />scheduling. ' <br />2. Assistant Director's Report <br />Julie Schutte submitted her last Assistant Director's report and stated her appreciation, thanks and well - <br />wishes to the Commission members for three very fine years with the Commission. <br />3. Legal Report <br />A. Open Door/Sunshine Laws (Nothing new to report.) <br />B. Oliver School Site — 900 Indiana Avenue <br />Shawn reported that after reviewing the landmark ordinance for the School, the ordinance was for the <br />improvement on the site and not the site itself. Catherine stated her agreement of this view. The <br />ordinance is currently clouding the title of the site and inhibiting redevelopment proposals. Essentially, <br />approval of demolition nullified the landmark status for this site. Shawn created a resolution that could be <br />attached to the title of the property if approved by the Commission. <br />Todd moved to approve Resolution No. 2006-01 regarding the Oliver School site as presented by <br />Counsel. Mary Jane Chase seconded the motion. A majority of the Commission was in favor of the <br />motion and it passed. The members in agreement then signed the resolution. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Chapin Park Booklet Distribution Phase <br />The Chapin Park Neighborhood Association Board is planning a little party and we hope to distribute the <br />books at that meeting. It should take place in early June. <br />B. Southhold Awards Breakfast <br />The breakfast was a success. Todd moved to have Lynn and Staffpresent the award far the Oliver Chilled <br />Plow to Economic Development/Redevelopment. Joann Sporleder seconded the motion and all were in <br />favor. <br />V. ADJOURNMENT <br />Catherine Hostetler moved to adjourn. Tim Klusczinski seconded the motion and all were in favor.
