6. It's impractical to include hardcopies of every example of historic district <br />guidebook. However I suggest that each district be named along with the date it <br />was established. Subsequently, publication revisions should be referenced. <br />7. Revision dates for Landmark Standards should be included and updated whenever <br />revisions occur. <br />8. Add the definition for the term "Site" as it appears under "Scarce Resources" <br />section. <br />9. Combine information from "Local Landmarks designation Procedure" into <br />"Policy for Declaring Poorly Maintained, Endangered or Scarce Resources as <br />Local Landmarks." <br />10. After above change, rename Policy for Declaring, etc" as "Local Landmarks <br />Designation Procedure." <br />11. Suggestions should be segregated from policy. The phrase "work with" found <br />throughout the text, flags this. Suggestions that are allowed to remain after <br />further review should appear under the Summary and Recommendations section. <br />12. References to preservation authority (HPC) within other local governmental <br />statutes or ordinances should be added into the Preservation Plan. <br />Admittedly, these are only some of the more basic changes apparent until this <br />Commission orders the revision task. Despite all the changes and trade-offs I believe <br />that the final product will certainly be more comprehensive and perhaps even shorter <br />than the current version. <br />
