B. LANDMARK (There were none to consider.) <br />C. NATIONAL REGISTER NOMINATIONS (There were none to consider.) <br />III. REGULAR BUSINESS <br />A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. November 21, 2005 <br />Catherine Hostetler moved to accept the minutes as presented. Mary Jane Chase seconded the <br />motion and it passed with 7-0 in favor. <br />2. December 19, 2005 <br />Catherine Hostetler also moved to accept these minutes as presented. Tim Klusczinski seconded the <br />motion, and it too passed unanimously, 7-0 in favor. <br />B. TREASURER'S REPORT <br />Catherine Hostetler distributed the corrected 2005 year-end location report for the budget and <br />explained some of the presented numbers. No questions were received. <br />C. COMMITTEE REPORT <br />1. President's Report <br />Lynn Patrick noted that the Nominating Committee had met and that Joann Sporleder would give its <br />report. She also provided Commission Members and Staff the 2006 HPC Committee Appointments. <br />2. Nominating Committee <br />Joann Sporleder presented the slate of officers for 2006: Lynn Patrick, President; Todd Zeiger, Vice <br />President; Mary Jane Chase, Secretary; Tim Klusczinski, Treasurer. Joann moved to approve this <br />unanimous ballot. Tim Klusczinski seconded the motion. It passed unanimously, 7-0 in favor. <br />D. STAFF REPORTS <br />1. Director's Report <br />Catherine passed out the upcoming HPC events, and noted that the Commission retreat is scheduled <br />for February 2nd with the location to be announced. <br />She also reported on the recent correspondence from South Bend's Community Development (CD), <br />which requests the demolition of the landmarked Burke Building, 1019 S. Michigan Avenue. There <br />will be a meeting scheduled to review the building and to meet with CD, the Urban Enterprise Assoc, <br />and the South Gateway Assoc. One interesting point to note is the recent sale of the vacant lot across <br />Garst Street from this building to Real Services. <br />2. Assistant Director's Report <br />Julie reported the progress of the three outstanding guidebooks, and announced that she is applying to <br />Graduate School for the Fall of 2006. <br />23 January 2006 HPC Meeting Minutes [Corrected Version] <br />W. <br />
