Assistant Director's Report 19 April 2006 Chapin Park Guidebook Printing: There was a delay in the final correction and printing of the book due to the illness and death of a family member of one Rink's staff members; however, yesterday, Catherine and I went to Rink to review and approve an actual bound copy of the booklet. Delivery of 600 books to the office is expected within the next five working days (next Wednesday) with distribution to the neighborhood soon thereafter. County Revision of Job Descriptions /Survey: The County is in the midst of reviewing, revising and standardizing job descriptions and employee levels for more equalized pay across departments. This included completion of a survey about responsibilities, tasks, and skills and requirements needed for each job. Gatehouse Communications: Since the March meeting, I have received several inquiries about the gatehouse from concerned citizens and have sent information regarding upcoming meetings /their postponement to an email listing of about 30 people. Information has been further disseminated to the Chapin Park, NNN, Near West, and Notre Dame Architects and AIA e-mail lists and list- serves. Guidance regarding communication of the present situation would be appreciated.
