3. Legal Report <br />Aladean summarized prior appeal hearings before the Common Council and noted that typically the <br />President and staff spoke before the Council at those hearings. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Chapin Park final draft at printers. (No action taken.) <br />2. Southhold Awards: Catherine briefed the Commission on the progress of the event planning. <br />IV. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Southhold Awards Press Release released to SBT. (No action taken.) <br />2. Abandoned railroad right -of -way legal case. (No action taken.) <br />V. HEARING OF VISITORS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />1. Don Sporleder reminded the Commission about the recent work starting on the Michigan Street <br />Bridge and the restoration of an underpass to connect the park. <br />2. Mary Jane Chase brought in an article from the Chicaeo Tribune Magazine, "A Neighborhood <br />Rises from the Dead, which she thought would be of interest to the Commission members. <br />VI. ADJOURNMENT <br />Mary Jane Chase moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:15 pm.
