The Roundup will be held in New Albany at the historic <br />Division Street School and the Carnegie Center for Art and History on Saturday, June 3, 2006 <br />from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT. This event is being hosted locally by the New Albany Historic <br />Preservation Commission. — <br />The Roundup is a free and informal event open to anyone interested in local history and the <br />preservation of historic resources for future generations to use and enjoy. It is intended to help <br />local preservationists make connections with each other and the State Historic Preservation Office <br />for the common cause of preserving local landmarks and heritage. Participants will have the <br />chance to learn about the DHPA's programs, give brief presentations about their organizations' <br />successes, challenges, and activities, and network with colleagues. Lunch and afternoon <br />refreshments will be provided. <br />Enclosed is a flyer about the event and a tentative schedule of the day's activities. After the <br />informational ' session and lunch, there will be a tour of local preservation highlights, followed by <br />refreshments and an opportunity to network with other participants. If you cannot attend, please <br />pass this flyer on to someone else who might be interested. If you belong to a preservation- related <br />group or organization, please share this information with other members. <br />If you plan to,attend, please contact the DHPA at 317- 232 -1646 to RSVP — ask for Steve or Malia. <br />Space is limited and reservations are required so you must RSVP no later than Friday, May <br />26, 2006. We will take your reservations on a first -come, first -served basis. <br />A map to the event venue and additional details will be mailed to you after you RSVP, so if you <br />leave us a voice -mail message, be sure to give us your address and phone number.
