Midwest Regional Conference 1 7 <br />Lincoln, Nebraska • July 2006 <br />The Cornhusker, A Marriott Hotel <br />Experience an icon of Midwestern hospitality at The Cornhusker, A Marriott Hotel, <br />and site of the fiftieth annual meeting of the Mississippi Valley Historical Associa- <br />tion in 1957. The Cornhusker sets the standard for downtown Lincoln hotels, and <br />is one of the premier Marriott properties in the United States. The hotel has re- <br />cently undergone an extensive renovation, from the public areas to all guest rooms, <br />including all -new bedding and complimentary wireless high -speed Internet access. <br />The Cornhusker is also the only hotel in Lincoln directly connected to the indoor <br />skywalk system, and provides airport shuttle transportation. The hotel offers three <br />in -house restaurants, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. <br />Reservations <br />Guest rooms are available at the OAH meeting rate of $82 per night single or double <br />occupancy. Rate does not includes taxes, which are currently 10 %. The deadline for <br />reservations is June 7, 2006. Be sure to mention OAH when making reservations. <br />Parking <br />Onsite parking is available for $1 hourly and $6 daily. Valet parking is available at <br />$12 per day. <br />Driving Directions <br />From the Lincoln Airport (LNK), take Cornhusker Highway East to 9th Street. Turn <br />right (south) onto M Street. Turn left (east) onto 13th Street. Then turn right. The <br />hotel is on the corner of 13th Street and L Street. The Cornhusker does provide a <br />shuttle service from the airport.
