Director's Report <br />September 20 through October 14, 2005 <br />September 20 Met with Senior Surveyor, Jennifer Eblin concerning errors on <br />survey cards and evaluation of West LaSalle and Woodward as <br />potential National Register or Local Historic Districts. <br />September 21 St. Joseph County Council Committee meeting concerning Farm <br />Iandmarking. Sent to County Council with favorable <br />recommendation. <br />September 23 Kick off of three day Window Restoration Workshop at former <br />Sons of Israel Synagogue. HPC co sponsor. <br />September 30 Meeting with Bob Yapp concerning Olde House Faire scheduled <br />for May 2006. HPC one of the co-sponsor. <br />October 3 Chapin Park guideline and standards booklet meeting. Final <br />approval of text. Discussion of 171 properties not in survey and Bev <br />Petersen's progress on the research. <br />October 4 Meeting with Mayor and Phil St. Claire, John Oxian and Julie <br />Schutte concerning greenhouses and conservatories at Potawatomi <br />Park. <br />October 7 Meeting with Michael Eby, John Lentz, Todd Zeiger and David <br />Bainbridge concerning the Navarre Cabin grant. Submitted <br />Progress Reports to Indianapolis on all 4 grants that HPC is <br />administering. Kick off for second Window Restoration College at <br />.Synagogue. <br />October 11 County Council Meeting for the Iandmarking of the Adams Road <br />Barn. Unanimous Approval. <br />October 13 Completed the initial order for the Office Furniture: Desk/Work <br />Station and chair for Wayne; Conference table and 8 chairs for <br />Conference Room. <br />We have been asked to support Connie and Tom Tooley's position against a proposed <br />ordinance and site development plan of Allan Klein, et al to zone from "MFI" Urban <br />Corridor Multifamily to "MU" Mixed Use, property located at 316 Williams; 318, 320, <br />322, 324 and 326 W Madison street, City of South Bend -APC# 2336-05. A motion is <br />needed. <br />Should the Commission lend its support to Jeff Gibney's and Charlotte Pfeifer's <br />opposition to the continued location of the Catholic Workers' Houses located on West <br />
