Director's Report September 20 through October 14, 2005 September 20 Met with Senior Surveyor, Jennifer Eblin concerning errors on survey cards and evaluation of West LaSalle and Woodward as potential National Register or Local Historic Districts. September 21 St. Joseph County Council Committee meeting concerning Farm Iandmarking. Sent to County Council with favorable recommendation. September 23 Kick off of three day Window Restoration Workshop at former Sons of Israel Synagogue. HPC co sponsor. September 30 Meeting with Bob Yapp concerning Olde House Faire scheduled for May 2006. HPC one of the co-sponsor. October 3 Chapin Park guideline and standards booklet meeting. Final approval of text. Discussion of 171 properties not in survey and Bev Petersen's progress on the research. October 4 Meeting with Mayor and Phil St. Claire, John Oxian and Julie Schutte concerning greenhouses and conservatories at Potawatomi Park. October 7 Meeting with Michael Eby, John Lentz, Todd Zeiger and David Bainbridge concerning the Navarre Cabin grant. Submitted Progress Reports to Indianapolis on all 4 grants that HPC is administering. Kick off for second Window Restoration College at .Synagogue. October 11 County Council Meeting for the Iandmarking of the Adams Road Barn. Unanimous Approval. October 13 Completed the initial order for the Office Furniture: Desk/Work Station and chair for Wayne; Conference table and 8 chairs for Conference Room. We have been asked to support Connie and Tom Tooley's position against a proposed ordinance and site development plan of Allan Klein, et al to zone from "MFI" Urban Corridor Multifamily to "MU" Mixed Use, property located at 316 Williams; 318, 320, 322, 324 and 326 W Madison street, City of South Bend -APC# 2336-05.
