(Refer to application
items for description of proposed work). Dennis Andres gave a brief presentation on
what the completed marquee sign would look like and what features it would have. He
brought in colored drawings and pictures of what the original marquee sign looked like
and what the new marquee sign will look like once it is completed.
John Oxian made a comment that the original marquee sign was taken down right after
the building was purchased. It was taken down for the stupid reason that supposedly the
guide wires had aged and they were not strong enough to hold the marquee sign in place
and stop it from falling down. Joann asked about the color scheme for the sign, what
type of lighting will be used for the sign, and where the water drains are located for the
roof.
MARTHA CHOITZ: I move that application 2005-0331 for the installation of a new
marquee for the Moms be approved, as the staff recommended and as represented in the
drawings presented by Mr. Andres.
JOHN OXIAN: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously.
