1077 Riverside Drive
South Bend, IN 46616
574 233-3181
June 13, 2005
Ms. Catherine Hostetler, Director
Historic Preservation Commission of
St. Joseph Country
Fax: 574-235-9578
Dear Ms. Hostetler:
Following up on our conversation of Friday, June 10, I am faxing you the
arborist's report on the trees that we seek to remover from our lawn at 1077 Riverside
Drive. Mark Temple of Temple Tree Service felt that this work order would constitute an
adequate report. Certainly, I can elaborate on his findings at my appearance before the
Commission on Monday evening, June 20.
I also want to indicate that I propose to ask permission at the hearing to remove a
second tree, in addition to the evergreen (hemlock) that I mentioned in our application of
Friday, June 10. This second one is a cedar on the Riverside Drive side of our house.
Though we did not mention it in our application, Temple Tree Service highly
recommended that we cut it down, thus fortifying an inclination that we already had to
remove it. I hope that we may also address this issue at the hearing this coming Monday.
Again, many thanks for your help. See you Monday.
Sincerely,
O p4K
Daniel Philpott
